foam picture: the return of the microworld ...
I made little pictures foam this winter. Weather Question? Lack of time? A bit of both ... And it is not always easy to renew itself around a single topic. Actually, my subject is not the foam itself, but rather his ability to capture light.
For proof, these three pictures where one strand of moss reflects the light atmosphere of the moment.

Petit, clouds ... The color of the foam off. This is an opportunity to photograph in contreplongée: no risk of encountering a backlight too violent, or a sky burnt.

That day, the light was perfect: soft and shallow. Ideal setting scene a touch of translucent foam, and report this transparency acid green.

And then there are photos of foam just before bedtime the sun ... When horizontal rays are hitting anything that gets in their way. We must manage the contrasts between the holes of shadow and sunlit areas, and especially to fast: a bit of foam will do well exposed than a few minutes in the woods!

Subject photo winter: the micro-world ...
Pictured is the light that often sets the tone! With it, one topic comes in a thousand ways, and provides images that are very different from each other. This ability of light to create the ambience is even more pronounced with topics slides, such as foam.
Photo of foam is a good exercise, but requires a true macro lens for a magnification sufficient if one seeks to isolate one or a few strand (s) of foam.
- It is easier to photograph in diffuse light (cloudy, or even a slight haze) the foam is often humid, with glossy surfaces and alternating light and dark areas. An overcast reduces contrast. Good exposure is easier to find and can be dedicated only to choose his angle.
- In sun, the photo of foam quickly becomes a headache ... We need to find broadcasters natural blur background and foreground that are not in the shadows for not too many dark areas on its image.
But despite these difficulties, we must recognize the foam that it remains faithful to the annual meeting, during these long months in which subjects are rare natures macros ...
