Luggage Piggyback Straps

From virtual to real ... Marriage

was last week. I was in the bus 17, direction East Broadway when I saw an early thirties up with a gym bag ... and boxing gloves pink. Penny dropped at once ... This girl who sat next to me was far from suspecting that the stranger on his right knew a lot about her ... the name of her lover and all his stories of heart, she returned to her training boxing weekly (well yes, that was not hard to find, I grant you!), she loves cats and she is a blogger with good French visibility on the Internet, become a sort of "celebrity" local. It's weird, but knowing full of intimate details about her life, without knowing really put me a little uncomfortable. This skewed ratio between people is confusing and, I must say, quite disturbing. What is there to learn about each other?

I was often asked to speak to me, my job, for us, everything that makes our life in Vancouver. I always said that this was not the purpose of my approach. I'm just looking to discover Canada through our eyes Afro-European. Far from me the desire to write a diary public, even if we do not escape entirely, because the act of writing a blog reveals always a part of oneself to others, everyone you know and whose known to follow our adventures ... Then there are all the others, those we do not know, we do not even suspect, except when you receive a message from a user and then you say " ah yeah, I touch far beyond my family and my friends ... it Internet "but that you take into account not so much ... Everything is so smple in the virtual world. You write a post on a topic that you care about, you click on "Send" and you realize too that the world can access it.

admit that it scares me. All these connections between people, it's great but a bit scary, to say alienating (like Facebook, where my heart is torn between "I delete my account tomorrow," disgusted by both of voyeurism and "mavieestbellejesuisheureux.com" and the "yeah but it's handy for keeping in touch" in this global village that is now our beautiful planet)

So we try to protect themselves, not to reveal too much, to keep his little secrets and stick as much as possible his thread ... Knowing that my friends are asking for more photos and parents more stories ...

I have no desire to keep this blog open very long ... It will dry by itself ... throughout our integration ... There are already so many things that seem familiar, our eye is not as sharp. They are our friends passing we point out. Human beings adapt to any new environment. We are no longer surprised to see trucks in the city and pick-ups everywhere, only to cross more astonished when the little music tells us it's our turn to say Hi driver " and " thank you" to each up and down the bus and stand in line in order of arrival before going to come out get something to eat (take-away pliz! ") just because it was too lazy to cook or go shopping at 21:30.

I'd write more but the whirl of life, and fatigue at the end of a day's work, prevent me sometimes. I often think of things I'd like to share, but when there 'no time, there's no time! :) It will come ... I certainly do not want this blog to become a weekly obligation wonder more constraints than freedom. Patience ... I messages that will be warm soon published. And then, once will not hurt, no translation in English ... it will be the exception that proves the rule! Ahhh lazy when you hold us! :)

A prestissimo!
* see you soon!
